New TAG News - February 22, 2005

ANTIOCH, IL - TAG USA and TAG Racing International are pleased to announce that the 2005 General Rules are currently online and available for your use. The engine homologation forms will follow shortly in the next week or so.

Interest in the TAG program has been huge and tracks, clubs and series have been contacting TAG headquarters to apply to be a certified TAG qualifying entity. Below is a list of approved U.S. qualifying series for the 2005 TAG Racing International World Championships as of the middle of February:

Gatorz Karting Challenge - California
OMC Championship Series - Oklahoma
St. Louis Karting Assn. - Missouri
Cascade Regional Series - Oregon, Idaho, Washington
Iowa International Raceway - Iowa
Southwest Regional Cup - Texas and Oklahoma
Great Lakes SKUSA - Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio
Badger TAG Masters Series - Wisconsin
Columbia Sportswear Sprint Series - Oregon
SIRA - Indiana
Pro Kart Challenge - California
Championship Enduro Series - Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin
English Town Raceway - New Jersey
KRA Series at NCMP - Indiana
North Texas Kartways - Texas

Interest in the TAG concept and racing program has also been expressed from organizations, clubs and promoters outside the United States. Below is a list of approved International qualifying series for the 2005 TAG Racing International World Championships as of the middle of February:

We will update qualifying series on the website as we receive and approve applications.

As you will notice we have added a TAG Expert class as a data collection class for select events in 2005. We plan to use this as a test bed for the 2006 engine packages currently under development for CIK.

2005 TAG Racing International World Championships
The race will take place at Newcastle Motorsports Park in Newcastle, Indiana just outside metropolitan Indianapolis on October 6th thru 9th 2005.
