Effective Immediately
Further Cadet Rules Clarification - Concerning the Cadet Program within TAGTM
Racing International

In our recent press release dated 3/8/06, we announced the TAGTM Cadet Classes I and II.  These classes are to be run at the 2006 TAGTM World Championships in October at NCMP.

During the 2006 race season, it will be up to the clubs and race organizers to determine whether or not their group will run under the new Cade I and II structure or whether they will choose to continue their season with the current Cadet class structure.

Within the current class Structure, the Comer KWE60 will be required to run the original intake manifold.  This manifold has a straight bore with an inside Dia. hole of 20.5mm / 0.807".  This is the same intake that was supplied with the engine when first submitted for approval;.

The weights have revered back to the original intended weight structure as planned for the 2006 racing season.

Gazelle, Easykart and ROK to be run at 240 lbs.

Comer, Maxter and WTP to be run at 250 lbs.

TAGTM Racing International is planning to separate engines into two separate classes for the 2006 TAGTM World Championships.  The classes will be named "Cadet-I" and "Cadet-II".  The classes may be run separate or run together and scored separately.  This will depend on entry numbers and be the race directors, clubs or organizations choice.

The intended 2006 TAGTM World Championship class structure is as follows:

"Cadet-I" - to be run at 240 lbs.
Gazelle
Easykart
ROK

"Cadet-II" - to be run at 250 lbs.
Comer
Maxter
WTP
Swift

"Cadet-II" will be set up to be the same as approved Italian Karting Federations Engines.

More information regarding the Cadet-II class will be released very soon.

Also, please note the following rule changes:

Leopard Ignition - Change of Surface Finishing:  A change in the Leopard Ignition has been approved.  This change is only due to pollution problems and the performance of the ignition remains absolutely identical to the past ignition.

Leopard Exhaust - Change of Surface Finishing:  A change has also taken place for the same reason as the ignition and has also been approved.  The pipe will not come painted and remains absolutely identical to the past.

New Approval Updated Reed Screws:  Marty Casey has contacted Iame regarding the reed screws and the new approved list of reed screws are as follows:

H.  Biland SA250, Patriot Sidewinder and Stealth

The current engines, Sidewinder, Stealth and Patriot, will now be fitted with the same exhaust system.  This is due to manufacturing problems and the issues of noise.  The old style exhaust will still be legal to use - only at tracks and within organizations that noise is not an issue. Intake manifold - overall manifold length 2 3/4" +/- 2% (69.85 millimeters).
